I've never tried nutella. I do have a jar of marmite in the fridge.

Nutella is nothing like Vegemite (which I assume is same as marmite). Imagine hazelnuts ground to a butter with some sugar. Or imagine Ferrero Rocher candies ground to a smooth paste.

Amazing for dipping apples or pears into, or Wasa crackers.
